July Jewel -- Short Film Festival

One of Guanajuato and San Miguel's finest annual events. Films from many countries, including feature films at night. Various venues for the short films during the day, the Auditorio del Estado for the features at night. Everyone is so wrapped up in the films and their friends that the event can only be described as mellow. In 2006.the Festival de Cortometraje, a project headed by Sarah Hoch, opened in San Miguel de Allende for three days beginning July 22, and shifted to Guanajuato on July 25.
