Carnaval Chamula Sunday&Monday, 15-16, 10pm

Coming up at the open space known as Los Pastitos near the Plaza of the Frogs, this event is expected to be an authentic presentation of parts of the five day festival held every year at San Juan Chamula in Chiapas state. The four men who represented the group at the press conference today conveyed the seriousness of the event as evidence of their living culture. Should be a Cervantino highlight among highlights, whether substitute it for the long trip to Chiapas or use it as a prompt for going next spring.
