For some reason, few visitors come to Guanajuato in May, maybe because the guidebooks say it is the hottest month. With the weather shifting every year, I'm not sure that information is timely. Toward the end of May, we had two rains that brightened up the greenery.
Already, this first Monday in June, the number of foreigners on the main streets has jumped noticeably. May was packed with cultural activities and June will be too, especially theater. For opportunities to go beyond the capital, Aventours offers reasonably-priced, ecologically-oriented trips out of the city.
