This man works hard from late morning until about six pm scooping out water based sherbet and cream based ice cream. My favorite sherbet flavors of the season pineapple and guava, fresh fruit used of course. Mantecado, vanilla ice cream with candied fruit in it, is a Mexican favorite. Once in a while I see banana ice cream, the summit for me. At this stand on Paseo de la Presa across from the mouth of the Embajadoras tunnel, a cone costs seven pesos. Plastic cupfuls go up from there depending on the size. Larger take-home quantities available too.
