Cervantino Day 17:Cuatuor Diotama - a golden setting for a jewel of a concert

The eminent French quartet played Jancek, Ravel and late Beethoven. My friend and amateur viola player Nina Johnson has taught me to watch the violist who sometimes plays with the violins, other times with the cello and occasionally solos. Just one of the many opportunities we have in our city to deepen our understanding of the music we hear and broaden the repertoire of music we hear.

Now I wish I had also heard our Capella Guanajuatense playing one of my favorite Baroque composers Marin Marais. The Cervantino program this year is overwhelming.
